Tuition - Introduction

Christopher Warner is a Cambridge based teacher of piano with over 10 years experience of teaching the piano to pupils of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced level pianists, and from children to adults. He has previously been Head of Keyboards at a large independent school in Berkshire, and has a thorough understanding of current trends in Piano Education. You are also welcome contact Christopher directly either by email or by phone via the Contact Page.

Location

Christopher teaches from a studio based in Cambridge. Private visits can be arranged, although sometimes with a small extra charge (depending on distance, largely).

Young Players

Christopher currently teaches two days a week in an independent school in Cambridgeshire, and is in possession of an Enhanced CRB Disclosure Form, as is necessary for individuals who have a greater degree of contact with children or vulnerable adults. He always welcomes enquiries from parents wishing their children to start learning the piano, and is always happy to arrange for a trial lesson.

Adult Players

Christopher enjoys teaching a number of adult pupils, and has an understanding for the challenges involved in learning an instrument later in one's life. Lessons can be arranged in a flexible manner for those adults with a busy schedule.

Music Exams

Study towards the ABRSM Music Exams is always encouraged, but only where desired or appropriate. For those pupils or parents of pupils wishing to explore alternative goals, Christopher will always be happy to help devise a personalised course of study
